请教安装双系统的问题

各位大师：请教1个安装双系统的问题。
我的笔记本是hp的。现在安装的是中文xp。想在d盘上安装日文系统。但是安装过程中出现了蓝屏现象。
具体而言，安装时能够拷贝到硬盘，但是重启动后就出现了蓝屏，而且提示如下信息：

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down toprevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error scree,restart your computre.If this screen appears again,follow these steps:
check for viruses on your computer.Remove any newly installed hard dries or hard drive controllers.
Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
RUN CHKDSK /F to chek for hard drive corruption,and then restart your computer.

不知道各位大师们又什么高见。附带提及的是，我在台式机上安装了一下，没有出现任何问题。

安装盘有问题吗？
蓝屏信息里最后一行是让你用 CHKDSK /F 命令检测磁盘，你试试。
几条内存？如果添加过内存仅保留原装的内存试试。

真是热心人。谢谢回答。
硬件我不是很懂。几条内存也不知道，但是买了电脑没有加过什么东西。
那我回头有时间再试试。这几天突然忙起来了。没时间弄了。
再弄的时候，出了问题再向你请教吧。
